The transition to a smart cement plant is often accompanied with data security
concerns. The security of our customers’ data is our top priority – at the plant,
during transmission to the cloud, and during further processing. To ensure the
required level of data security, certified by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and
Microsoft Azure and regulated by strict EU law.
The basic components of any digital solution for a cement plant are a
definition of the variable to be recorded, installation of intelligent hardware
(the thyssenkrupp edge technology) and the subsequent collection of data,
as agreed on by our customer. The installation of the edge device (LAI) is
the first step. The edge technology and its associated data platform are
required to collect, store and interpret plant data.
